CORDIANER, Coriandrum sativum
Annual plant. It grows to a height of about 50 cm. Coriander fruits contain, among others proteins, lipids and vitamin C. They are used as a seasoning for roasted pork, cold cuts, pates, sauces, cakes, spirits and liqueurs. Coriander extract with spirit or infusion is helpful in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Increases the appetite. It can be used externally for muscle and joint pain. Sowing seeds in April – May straight into the ground, in rows every 30 cm. At a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius, emergence takes place within 2 weeks. Plants bloom in June, seeds mature a month later; then the whole plants are pulled up and dried, and then the seeds are extracted.
