CALABASH, Lagenaria siceraria mixture
Annual plant with shoots up to 2 m long. Creates green in shades, pear-shaped, bottle-shaped or elongated, almost snake-shaped fruits with a woody cover and spongy flesh. Ripe, hollow fruits can be used as dishes, containers, musical instruments or as an attractive decorative element of the interior. Sowing seeds in April under covers or at the beginning of May directly into the ground, to a depth of 2-3 cm, 2-3 seeds in points every 70-100 cm. Cultivate at supports, in open ground or in a foil tunnel. For proper growth and fruiting, plants require fertile, moist soil and a sunny position, sheltered from the wind.
