Hortifoska autumn fertilizer for conifers and other ornamental trees and shrubs is a granulated potassium-magnesium fertilizer intended for autumn fertilization of all species of coniferous plants. It is also perfect for ornamental deciduous trees and shrubs, because it does not change the reaction of the substrate. The fertilizer is primarily used to prepare plants for difficult winter conditions. It is worth starting to use autumn fertilizers in the summer (even from July, instead of nitrogen fertilizers).
The high content of potassium accelerates the lignification of shoots, which protects less resistant species of trees and shrubs from freezing. Magnesium is a component of enzymes responsible for plant resistance to temperature changes. Its content in the fertilizer effectively prevents browning of the needles of coniferous plants. Sulfur, on the other hand, is necessary to build chemical compounds that increase plant resistance to fungal and bacterial diseases. Thanks to it, the plants have a better start in spring.
Most importantly – Hortifoska autumn fertilizer for conifers and other decorative trees and shrubs does not contain nitrogen, so it does not stimulate plants to intensive growth and the formation of young shoots that are sensitive to low temperatures. The balanced composition helps plants enter the winter dormancy, and also increases the winter hardiness and frost resistance of conifers.
Hortifoska autumn fertilizer for conifers and other ornamental trees and shrubs is packed in a very convenient to use packaging, equipped with a string that allows multiple closing. Packaging made of foil prevents the penetration of moisture inside the packaging, thanks to which the fertilizer enclosed in it does not clump. The offer includes packages of 1 kg and 3 kg.
