Surfinie – is a crystalline fertilizer to be dissolved in water. Intended for nourishing surfinia and other long-stemmed petunia, also grown in compositions with other plants. It contains a set of macro- and micronutrients adapted to the nutritional needs of surfinia. The fertilizer guarantees the proper growth and development of plants. It ensures high health of the fertilized plants, their abundant and long-lasting flowering and intensive color of flowers. This fertilizer is used by breeders in professional cultivation of balcony and bedding plants.

The fertilizer has an increased iron content (Fe – 0.14%), because surfinas show an increased demand for this component. Iron deficiency in surfinia manifests itself in the interveinal yellow discoloration of the leaves. The fertilizer quickly replenishes its deficiencies, which affects the regeneration of leaves. The most important component of the fertilizer, stimulating plants to flower continuously and increasing plant resistance to water shortages, is potassium. This is especially important because surfinas grown in small containers and balcony boxes, producing a huge green mass, need large amounts of water, because they intensively transpire it from the leaves. In such a root ball limited by a pot, there is a need not only for an increased frequency of watering, but also for the supply of nutrients. Crystalline fertilizers are intervention fertilizers – they immediately replenish nutrient deficiencies thanks to minerals that are available to plants in easily digestible forms.

Application method

Use once a week while watering. Prepare a water solution, allocating 1 teaspoon of fertilizer to 5 liters of water (1 g of fertilizer per 1 liter of water). Water the plants with the solution obtained in this way until the substrate is moist. During the flowering period, fertilize the plants with each watering. Plants should be watered after the substrate, avoiding contact with leaves and flowers. The recommended doses should not be exceeded, because the fertilizer is highly condensed.
