100 days fertilizer for rhododendrons and hydrangeas is a fertilizer in a granular form with macro- and micronutrients of fast and long-lasting effect. Designed to feed rhododendrons, azaleas and other plants of the heather family. It is also perfect for fertilizing hydrangeas and other plants that prefer acidic and slightly acidic soil. Fertilizer 100 days for rhododendrons and hydrangeas stabilizes the acidity of the soil, which creates ideal conditions for the uptake of nutrients by acidophilic plants. Specially adjusted composition and proportions of nutrients ensure proper growth and development of plants. Recommended for fertilization before planting, as well as for use under already growing plants.
100-day fertilizers are distinguished by the prolonged release of nutrients, which lasts up to 100 days. Thanks to a specially developed formula, the fertilizer can be used much less often – only 1 or 2 times a season. The release of nutrients contained in the granules is regulated by natural environmental factors, such as humidity and temperature. Scattered on the soil and mixed with the top layer of the substrate, the fertilizer absorbs moisture and dissolves slowly. Released evenly and in the right proportion of nutrients, they get to the soil layer covered with plant roots. The special formula of the fertilizer prevents nutrients from being washed out beyond the root zone into the soil. The gradually released nutrients reduce the risk of over-fertilization.
Application method
Fertilize the plants 1-2 times every 100 days (over 3 months) from March to July. If the first fertilization is done in March, the next fertilization should be done in June. However, when carrying out the first fertilization in May-June, it is enough to apply the fertilizer once. In July, half the recommended dose is recommended. The fertilizer can be used both during planting and under existing plantings.
Preparation of the position for new plantings: When planting, dig a hole and mix the fertilizer with the planting substrate, and then plant the plant. Depending on the size of the plants, use the following doses during planting:
– shrub up to 40 cm high – 10 g,
– a bush 40-100 cm high – 20 g,
– shrub more than 1 m high – 30 g.
Shrubs already growing: Sprinkle the fertilizer around the plants and mix with the topsoil if possible. Water the plant abundantly after use. Depending on the size of the plants, use the following doses:
– shrubs low (up to 1m high) – 30 g per plant,
– tall bushes (above 1 m) – 50 g per plant,
– plants growing in groups – 50 g per m2.
One handful is about 30-40 g of fertilizer. The recommended doses of the fertilizer should not be exceeded.
