Combat needle browning in conifers with Hortifoska granular fertilizer for conifers against browning. High magnesium content revitalizes green color, tackling browning symptoms.
Hortifoska fertilizer for conifers against browning of needles is a granular mineral fertilizer. Intended for fertilizing conifers with symptoms of browning needles or chlorosis (yellowing). The fertilizer is characterized by an increased content of magnesium which effectively reduces the symptoms of browning conifers restoring the intense green color of the needles.
Magnesium is the element that builds chlorophyll – the green pigment in the needles and leaves. Its deficiency manifests itself in yellowing and later browning on older deeper-growing needles. The second important macronutrient is potassium which supports drought resistance. Long water shortages can also contribute to browning and dieback of the needles.
Hortifoska fertilizer for conifers against browning of needles also contains a number of microelements. An especially important micronutrient is iron which induces the process of chlorophyll formation.
The youngest needles and leaves show chlorosis as a manifestation of its deficiency. Far-reaching yellowing of the needles of conifers leads to browning and as a result dying off of the entire shoots of conifers. Weakened plants may even die due to long-term nutrient deficiencies.
You can use it from early spring to late autumn. The fertilizer does not contain nitrogen so it can be used throughout the season without the risk of reducing plant frost resistance.
The dose of fertilizer depends on the size of the plants allocating about 20 g of fertilizer per 1 meter of plant height. In the case of creeping plants the dose should be determined according to the span of the bush (i.e. height = diameter).
If possible mix the spilled fertilizer with the top layer of soil and water it abundantly. Regular watering increases the effective use of nutrients by plants.

Nawóz można stosować od wczesnej wiosny do późnej jesieni. Nawóz nie zawiera azotu, dzięki czemu można go stosować przez cały sezon bez ryzyka obniżenia mrozoodporności roślin. Dawkę nawozu uzależnić od wielkości roślin przeznaczając około 20 g nawozu na 1 metr wysokości rośliny. W przypadku roślin płożących dawkę należy ustalić na podstawie rozpiętości krzewu (tj. wysokość = średnica).
W miarę możliwości rozsypany nawóz wymieszać z wierzchnią warstwą gleby i obficie podlać. Regularne podlewanie zwiększa efektywne wykorzystanie składników pokarmowych przez rośliny.
