Effective snail trap for garden, targeting harmful species like Spotted Slug and Lusitan Dipple. Keep your garden protected!
The snail trap for garden is intended for monitoring and catching snails in home gardens, vegetable gardens also arable lands. The trap is used to catch both naked also shell snails. Particularly for catching the Spotted Slug (Deroceras reticulatum) and the Lusitan Dipple (Arion lusitanicus). The listed species are among the most harmful.
The trap is a special container with a roof, which protects against weather conditions also shades the place of the bait. Snails usually feed in damp also shady places. It is enough to supplement the trap with popular food products that attract snails. For this reason, the trap is completely safe for people, animals also beneficial insects.
Thanks to the use of a trap, it is possible to safely reduce the number of snails without the use of any chemical substances. The snail trap is made of plastic, which allows re-use after emptying.
The following can be used as bait:
Beer
Honey
Milk mixed with water
Yeast mixed with water
Honey and yeast mixed with water
Oil for frying with water
The scent of rum for cakes mixed with water
Sliced potatoes, carrots, and lettuce leaves
In the place where the snails stay or move, make a hole in the ground for the container.
Half-fill the trap with a bait – e.g. beer.
Remove the top cover of the trap and place the container in the previously made hole and carefully sprinkle the soil around it so that the container rim is level with the ground surface.
Put the top cover to protect the trap against dirt and rain.
Sprinkle the container bringing its upper edge to the ground.
Check the trap regularly. When the trap is full of snails, rinse it with water, put it back in its previous place and fill it up with bait.

Miód
Mleko zmieszane z wodą
Drożdże zmieszane z wodą
Miód i drożdże zmieszane z wodą
Olej do smażenia z wodą
Zapach rumu do ciast zmieszany z wodą
Pokrojone ziemniaki, marchewka i liście sałaty
W miejscu, w którym ślimaki przebywają lub przemieszczają się, wykonaj dziurę w ziemi na pojemnik.
Napełnij pułapkę do połowy przynętą – np. piwem.
Zdejmij górną pokrywę pułapki i umieść pojemnik w wykonanym uprzednio otworze i dokładnie posyp wokół niego ziemię tak, aby krawędź pojemnika zrównała się z powierzchnią gruntu.
Załóż górną pokrywę, aby chronić pułapkę przed brudem i deszczem.
Posyp pojemnik, zbliżając jego górną krawędź do podłoża.
Regularnie sprawdzaj pułapkę. Kiedy pułapka jest pełna ślimaków, przepłucz ją wodą, odłóż z powrotem na poprzednie miejsce i napełnij przynętą.
